Mental Performance Coach

Eli Yasuna is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with high school and collegiate athletes. A former collegiate and professional soccer player, he helps athletes strengthen their mindset using evidence-based mental skills to enhance performance, resilience, and overall well-being.

Eli integrates mindfulness-based practices and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support athletes in managing performance anxiety, maintaining focus under pressure, and responding effectively to setbacks and challenges. He also has a strong focus on supporting injured athletes throughout the recovery process, helping them navigate the psychological demands of rehabilitation and optimize their return to sport. His coaching style is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and person-centered, meeting individuals where they are while encouraging meaningful growth.

Eli earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College.

Outside of his professional work, he enjoys traveling, supporting Boston sports teams, and finding a pickup soccer game wherever he goes.
