Dr. Pete Economou, PhD, ABPP is a psychologist and professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at Rutgers University. He serves as the Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness having worked with high performers at the collegiate and professional sports levels, as well as with business executives. Dr. Pete is board certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC) through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). His research interests include multicultural psychology, third wave CBT, and sport and performance psychology. Dr. Pete is also a Zen Buddhism teacher, integrating mindfulness-based practices into his work.
